Who We Are

Most people don't start looking for a therapist because life is going well.

They start looking because they're exhausted from carrying the same worries, having the same arguments, feeling stuck in the same patterns, or trying to hold everything together while quietly struggling underneath it all.

Counseling is not about having all the answers. It's about creating the space to slow down, take an honest look at what's happening, and begin moving in a different direction. Sometimes that means learning new ways to manage anxiety or stress. Sometimes it means healing from loss, navigating a major life transition, improving relationships, or rebuilding confidence after difficult experiences.

Our role is not to tell you how to live your life. Our role is to help you better understand yourself, recognize what's getting in your way, and develop practical tools that support the life you want to create.

Change rarely happens overnight, but meaningful change happens when insight is paired with action. Whether you're seeking support for yourself, your child, your relationship, or your family, we are committed to helping you move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and purpose.

Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern, RMHCI

Rebecca Melendez- Johnson

As a RMHCI with a Master's of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) integrated with mindfulness-based and person-centered techniques to help clients navigate life's challenges. My experience includes women's issues, career counseling, supporting individuals involved in the justice system, and state run children's services, allowing me to bring a broad and thoughtful perspective to therapy.

I work with individuals, couples, families, children, and adolescents facing concerns such as anxiety, grief, life transitions, relationship challenges, and self-esteem. I believe therapy should be tailored to each person's unique experiences, strengths, and goals.

For clients who speak English and Spanish, I can provide therapy using conversational Spanish to support clear communication and a more comfortable therapeutic experience.
